Who knew tennis legends could be super fans too? Roger Federer just declared himself a bona fide Swiftie — and the internet can't get enough. After attending Taylor Swift's electrifying Eras Tour stop in Zurich, Switzerland, the retired professional athlete, 42, couldn't resist snapping a backstage selfie with the pop superstar, 34, igniting a wave of excitement among fans of both icons.

The picture-perfect photo, posted to Federer's Instagram on Wednesday, July 10, shows him and Swift in high spirits, with the tennis legend donning a VIP lanyard and the "Cruel Summer" singer still sparkling in her bedazzled bodysuit from the finale. "In my Swiftie era 🦋🫶💜🧣🌃🐍💘🪩🌲🕰️🤍," Federer captioned the post. It didn't take long for fans to flood the comment section.

"Two of my most fave performers - On court and on stage! 🎾🫶🏻🎤🥰" stated one person.

"The goats 😍😍😍🐐" another said, referencing the two titans as the greatest in their fields.

"I'm so thrilled seeing you're a Swiftie boy ! 👏high five🙌" exclaimed a third.

Federer's presence at the concert was a family affair; he was joined by his wife, Mirka, and their children — twin daughters, Myla and Charlene, 15, and twin sons, Leo and Lenny, 10.

A fan account on X (formerly Twitter) shared a snap of the two parents smiling from ear to ear in the crowd along with a photo of the Swiss native's wrist stacked with friendship bracelets. Federer also shared a peek at his bracelets on his Instagram Story. Among his collection appeared to be titles of Swift's songs, including "Champagne Problems," "Anti-Hero," and "Wildest Dreams."

Last month, the dad of four told People during an interview that seeing the 14-time Grammy winner on stage with his kids was a goal for the summer of 2024. "We went to a lot of concerts last year," he shared, recalling how fun it was to get on stage with Coldplay during their Zürich show in July 2023.

"I didn't sing, I just played a little shaker thing," Federer told the publication. "But we also saw [Bruce] Springsteen twice, and Elton John. This summer Taylor Swift is coming to Switzerland so of course we'll go to that, and ACDC too."
