Joe Rogan has apologized to mixed martial artist Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson after previously commenting on his fighting technique.

The UFC commentator is known for sharing his opinions and, in the past, he has critiqued Jackson's fighting style when he is in the ring. This has resulted in the two men having a rivalry that has lasted for 11 years.

During a previous appearance on the No Jumper podcast, Jackson said that Rogan's biased commentary during his fights was the reason why he never appeared on his podcast. "Joe and I, we've always been cool, but then after a couple of fights in the UFC, he noticed that I wasn't checking leg kicks and that I wasn't throwing a lot of leg kicks so he got real voice about it and with social media, I had a lot of MMA fans talking s***, talking about, 'Man, you don't know how to kick, and you don't know how to check leg kicks.' It just got annoying," Jackson added.

However, all of that now appears to be in the past as both men have apologized to each other. During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience released Tuesday, the two men cleared the air while discussing the fact that Jackson doesn't "take a whole lot of punches."

Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Rogan and Jackson on Friday.

"You've always been defensively responsible like that, yeah, your cover and rolls always—" Rogan said before Jackson added with a laugh, "except for the leg kicks, except for the leg kicks."

Rogan added: "You got mad at me once, but I wanted you to throw more 'cos your leg kicks are devastating. I would see when you would hit guys with leg kicks. I was, like, 'Damn, I wish Quinton would throw more leg kicks.'"

Jackson responded by saying he had to apologize to Rogan, with the host echoing the same sentiment.

"I apologize to you, too. I'm, like, it's not personal. I—just when I'm looking at you, I'm not thinking of you as a human being when you're fighting," Rogan said.

"I know you're a human being, but I'm looking at, I'm analyzing movements and what I think a guy can do to be more successful. I don't mean, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

Jackson went on to explain to Rogan why he became irritated—and it wasn't because of him.

"No, you didn't hurt my feel—it was nothing that you said. I'm, I'm going to clear it up for you right now. It wasn't nothing you said; it's the f****** fans," Jackson added.

As Rogan laughed, Jackson said: "They all come—when you said it, you kept saying it, they all come to me on my social media, ever since social media.

"So I'm going explain to you this is you, remember when I was fighting in Pride? I would check leg kicks if they was hard except for, except for, um, [Ricardo] Arona. I—I wasn't going to check his leg kick; it would have hurt my knee, but I would check the leg kicks if they were hard, but people in the UFC they wasn't really kicking that hard.

"So I take them and I try to land a punch, but the reason why I wasn't kicking that much is because they would, they were desperately trying to take me down. Even though I can wrestle, I started late. I'm not the best wrestler, and if you want to take somebody down, you going to, you going to get them when they got the leg up."

Rogan then told Jackson that he was a "very good MMA wrestler."

On July 1, Jackson took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Rogan after they filmed the podcast episode together.

"Damn I look like my lil brother in this pic. @joerogan has the best podcast, but y'all already knew this," the caption read.
