Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been spotted wearing matching accessories in recent weeks, as the eldest son of Prince William and Princess Kate celebrated his 11th birthday on Monday.

George is second in line to inherit the British throne behind his father, and his 11th birthday was marked with the release of a brand-new portrait taken in Windsor, Berkshire, in England by his mother.

The striking black-and-white image shows George facing the camera wearing a preppy suit with white open-collar shirt. A hint of the prince's personal style was quickly spotted by fans who saw a braided bracelet on his left wrist; this accessory is already known to be a favorite of another Wales family member, the royal's sister, Charlotte.

Charlotte was photographed wearing a stack of the braided "friendship"-style bracelets back in May when she celebrated her ninth birthday. Kate also took and released the image to mark the milestone occasion, with Charlotte's bracelets clearly visible on her right wrist.

The princess was also spotted wearing the accessory during her most-recent public appearance to attend the men's single final at the Wimbledon tennis championships in London earlier this month.

At the tennis final on July 14, Charlotte appeared with her mother and her aunt, Pippa Matthews, wearing a dark navy and white polka dot dress by Guess. The princess wore two braided bracelets on her left wrist and a small gold chain on her right.

Jewelry and accessories worn by members of the royal family have long fascinated fans, and the British royals in particular have a vast collection to choose from.

Kate has access to a large collection of historic and modern jewelry pieces, though is not known to wear numerous bracelets at any one time.

At Wimbledon this year, she debuted two statement bangles from the British brand Halcyon Days. She has also been known to wear pearl bracelets that formerly belonged to Princess Diana, and diamond bracelets from the collection of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Most regularly, Kate sports a Cartier watch on her wrist for everyday appearances.

Prince William is not a jewelry lover. He does not wear bracelets or even a wedding ring. He has been spotted with fitness-monitoring wrist bands in addition to his classic Omega watch, which had been a gift from Princess Diana before her death in 1997.

Today, Prince Harry is perhaps the main male member of the royal family with an eye for accessories.

The prince is regularly spotted wearing stacks of bracelets, whether they be charity bands or fashion-style leather cuffs and beaded loops.

Famously, Harry wears a necklace on which a number of pendants are suspended. The item attracted international attention in 2023, when Harry wrote in his memoir that his brother had broken it during an argument at Kensington Palace four years earlier.
