Woody Harrelson has revealed that he was scolded by a motorist after getting into an accident while riding his electric motorcycle.

During an appearance on Monday's installment of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast alongside his Cheers co-star Ted Danson, Harrelson revealed that he had a "little accident" that he quipped wouldn't have happened if he was riding a more "noisy" bike.

Explaining the moments that led up to the accident, Harrelson confirmed that he had entered the driver's blind spot.

"He seemed to be going really slow," the actor recalled of the driver. "So I'm going around him, but I pass him on the left, which is when I realized he was [making a left turn]. Like I said to him, would it have been so bad to see a blinker?"

Shepard then asked Harrelson how soon after the subsequent crash did the driver realize he was in the midst of a celebrity. "He didn't notice until my helmet came off," Harrelson responded. "He was chastising me."

Recounting the post-collision conversation, he said: "'Why are you passing me on the side?' 'You're right.' 'You shouldn't do that.' 'Yeah, I know.' 'But why did you?' 'I don't know what I was thinking. In retrospect, not a great idea.'

"But anyway, then I took off my helmet and he's like, 'I know you. I don't remember your name.' I said, 'Woody.' Then we were doing some laughing before it was all over."

Harrelson said that "a lot of cars were slowing down" following the incident, as the two were standing "in the middle of the road."

During an appearance on the Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast last month, Harrelson recalled how Danson had helped him out after the accident.

Harrelson explained he'd taken a "tumble" while riding his motorcycle to the studio. "I think a tumble is a fair term," he told Conan O'Brien and co-host Sona Movsesian. "I did go over my handlebars."

Comedian O'Brien asked: "Did you think for a second, while you were going over the hood of the Tesla, 'this is going to be a huge problem?' Or were you thinking the whole time, 'I'm alright'?"

"I always thought I'd be OK," the True Detective star replied. "I just felt like there was some pain involved."

O'Brien then called attention to Harrelson's hand, which he described as "wrapped up like someone in a cartoon."

"I did it," Danson chimed in. "I thought it looked funnier that way."

"Let me get this straight," O'Brien said. "All of your first-aid training is helping people in a way that will look funny?"

"Yeah," The Good Place star Danson responded.

According to Harrelson, he bumped into Danson in the bathroom ahead of the show and asked him, "Didn't you play a doctor, right?"

"He says, 'Yeah, I also played a lawyer so we can sue the guy,'" Harrelson said. "His confidence, his demeanor, everything about the way he does it makes you feel like 'Yes, I'm in the best possible hands.'"
