Halle Berry has reacted to a resurfaced video of Michael Jackson working his way through a crowd to meet her.

A fan account of the late singer's posted a snippet of the video showing Jackson among a crowd of people at the 2002 Bambi Awards when he spots Berry and gives her a big hug. The Bambi Awards are held in Germany and honor excellence in the arts, media and sports. That year Jackson was awarded the "greatest living icon status," while Berry picked up a gong in the international acting category.

"The way Michael fights through the crowd to reach Halle Berry and give her that big hug.😍," the fan account captioned the video, on X, formerly Twitter.

Berry reposted it and added her own response, simply writing: "Legend ❤️."

The actress' fans reacted in the replies of her post.

"Who wouldn't fight through the crowd for you?? Michael knew you were special ❤️‍🩹💖," wrote @instagaetz.

"When two legends link up," replied @culturedratedPV.

And @giftaveli added: "Wow. that was probably the happiest day of his life."

The resurfaced video comes just days after music producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds revealed Jackson had wanted to take the Oscar-winning actress on a date.

Babyface made the revelation during an Instagram Live stream with fellow producer, Teddy Riley.

"Speaking of MJ, it reminds me of a story, true story, fun fact. One time, Michael called me and said, 'Babyface, do you know who Halle Berry is?'" he told Riley.

"I said, 'Yeah, I know Halle Berry.' He said, 'Could you do me a favor? I want you to call her because I want to take her out on a date.' I said, 'What?' and he said, 'Call her, I want to take her out on a date.' So I reached out for him."

Babyface added: "I can't tell you exactly what Halle said, but I imagine it probably would have been something like this..." and then played a clip from her movie Boomerang, where she says the line: "You know, what do you know about love? What do you possibly think you know about love?"

Jackson is one of the greatest selling musical artists of all time, with hits such as, "Bad" and "Thriller." He died in 2009 after suffering a cardiac arrest after he was administered sleeping pills by his personal physician, who was jailed for involuntary manslaughter.

Berry became the first Black woman to receive a Best Actress Oscar, which she won in 2002 for her role in Monster's Ball.
