It was backup dancer Kameron Saunders' big day when the Eras Tour stopped in Hamburg, Germany on Tuesday, July 23.
Taylor Swift made sure that didn't pass without a special shoutout. During the performance of "Bejeweled," part of the Midnights set, Kam, 32, got a little spotlight as he showed off his dance moves, as Swift, 34, smiled on in awe. Then she shouted, "Happy Birthday, Kam!" and gave him a big hug.
This thrilled Swifties, who have long been fans of Kam, his dance moves, and his special friendship with Swift. Kam often shares sweet Eras Tour moments on his Instagram and TikTok accounts.
Celebrating him on X (formerly known as Twitter), one fan posted, "Kam Saunders, born on July 23, 1992, in St. Louis, Missouri, is a talented dancer, choreographer, and creative director. He is famous for his dance moves and is the only dancer with a speaking line in the Eras Tour. Happy Birthday Kam 🎉🎉."
The official The Eras Tour X account also shared the sweet clip of Swift celebrating Kam's birthday. It clearly meant a lot to Kam, who shared a clip on his own Instagram, writing, "Blessed. Grateful. Honored. Happy. 🥹 I got to celebrate my second birthday on The Eras Tour stage. In the rain. With all of you guys! THANK YOU, boss lady, for making me feel so cherished, valued, and important to your vision. 🥹💕." He also thanked his coworkers and fans for the comments and DMs, and shared his excitement for the next day's show, ending with, "Kamburg round 2 loading... 😌."
The birthday celebration comes one day after Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds joked about being Swift's guests while speaking on the red carpet at the world premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine. "If you ever really want to kinda not feel great about your career, go to [an NFL] game with Taylor Swift and Blake Lively — and then you're Blake Lively, Taylor Swift and others at the game," Jackman, 55, told People, referring to the October 1, 2023, Chiefs game the two attended with The Tortured Poets Department artist.
Reynolds, 47, jokingly agreed with Jackman, adding, "We're just 'and others.'" However, when asked if they would go to another game with the star, Jackman responded, "Oh, I hope so." Reynolds clearly agreed as well, quipping, "You don't say no to that."
This originally said that Saunders' brother Khalen is Travis Kelce's teammate on the Chiefs, but he is no longer. He was until he joined the Saints in 2023.
