An NHL fan who flashed her bosom during an Edmonton Oilers playoff game in June—and became a viral social media talking point—has revealed how her mother reacted to her skin-bearing moment.

Kait Flynn quickly became known as "The Oilers Girl" after footage was shared of her celebrating her team's win by lifting her top during the concluding moments of Game 5 of the NHL Conference Finals against the Dallas Stars.

While the Canadian team would go on to be defeated 2-1 by the Florida Panthers in June 25's Stanley Cup Final, Flynn's moment in the social media spotlight has seen her gain widespread notoriety and win a deal with Playboy.

Making an appearance on the latest installment of the podcast Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, Flynn told the show's host that she became aware that video footage of the moment had gone viral when her phone was inundated with notifications from people sending her photos of her own bosom.

Flynn said that she called her mother to see if she could "debrief dad that my t*** are on the internet. There [were] people I made phone calls to before they got to see my t***."

Recalling her mother's reaction, Flynn told Kaitlyn Bristowe: "Mom said, 'They're just t***. We'll deal with it. They'll go away. It can't be that bad.' And then it was like in the New York Post the next day... It was actually in the printed copy of the New York Post."

Explaining how the moment came to be, Flynn said that amid the result going in her team's favor, "everybody was going psycho," prompting her to react by lifting her top in front of a camera.

"I've flashed a million times, if we're being honest," she told Bristowe. "It's just something I do... I didn't think twice about it."

"Someone just recorded it and put it on X or Twitter, which I didn't even know was a thing anymore. I thought it like went away years ago," she said of the social media platform. "So I had to redownloaded it to find my own t*** on the internet."

Following the viral moment, Playboy announced Flynn as a new recruit, writing alongside photos of her on Instagram: "Meet Kait, the Oilers good luck charm."

"The Oilers might not have the Stanley Cup just yet, but with @k89.fly cheering them on, they're unstoppable," said the caption accompanying the racy ice hockey-themed images. "Catch Kait over at The Playboy Club."

On the Off the Vine podcast, Flynn was asked how she felt about her impromptu decision to bear her chest on camera.

"I mean, like, I'm happy with the way things are going in my bank account," Flynn said. "But, like, the attention and all that's been overwhelming to the max. It's not ever who I am. Like, I never really had like really a social media presence."

As of press time, Flynn has more than 70,000 followers on her Instagram account, where she has promoted her Playboy content.
