The stepdaughter of Kamala Harris has issued a plea to her hundreds of thousands of followers.

Model Ella Emhoff took to her Instagram Stories to share a call to action, urging people to register to vote ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.

"You already know what time it is," she wrote, sharing a link reading to register to vote.

"This is not the time to sit back and defer the responsibility this is on all of us to show up, take action and vote for our future [sic]," she wrote, and added, "we can be the change we want to see."

Vice President Harris is the likely Democratic nominee for November's election after President Joe Biden quit the race on Sunday.

Harris has earned the backing of enough delegates to win the nomination on the first ballot at the Democratic National Convention in August, according to an Associated Press survey.

Ella Emhoff broke her silence earlier this week after her stepmother was endorsed by Biden for president.

The model is the 25-year-old daughter of Harris' husband Doug Emhoff and the film producer Kerstin Emhoff. She responded to a viral post by British pop star Charli XCX.

The singer had taken to X, formerly Twitter, to congratulate Harris, by declaring, "kamala IS brat," referring to the name of her wildly popular album, which has also become a meme in itself.

"You are just that girl who is a little messy and maybe says dumb things sometimes, who feels herself but then also maybe has a breakdown, but parties through it," Charli XCX explained in a TikTok video. "It is honest, blunt, and a little bit volatile. That's Brat. Think Courtney Love in the '90s, Amy Winehouse in the early aughts, and Ke$ha in the 2010s."

Ella Emhoff shared a screenshot of the singer's post and captioned it, "@charli_xcx gets it."

She added Charli XCX's hit song "Apple" in the background of the post.

Since declaring she would run for president, Harris' family has reemerged in the spotlight, including her niece inadvertently attending the vice president's "first rally."

Meena Harris, was at a Sunday matinee performance of Suffs, a Tony Award-winning musical about the women's suffrage movement, of which she serves as a co-producer. The matinee occurred very soon after Biden announced he was stepping down and endorsing Harris.

The crowd at the matinee broke into a chant of "Kamala! Kamala!" which Meena Harris shared to her Instagram account.

"Went to work, ended up at the first Kamala rally," she captioned the video, which she shot from the stage wings.
