Ted Nugent's message about Donald Trump has gone viral, with the singer saying it's "common sense" to vote for the former president in November's election.

Ahead of his performance at the York State Fair in York, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, the 1970s rock star shared a "PSA to America" via his YouTube channel.

Dubbing himself the "defiant middle-finger Tsar" of the U.S.A., Nugent reaffirmed his support for Trump in the 2-and-a-half-minute video.

"I've got this American dream, 'cause I improvise, adapt and overcome," the 75-year-old said in the clip. "I'm a critical thinker, I could have wrote the Constitution.

"It's common sense, it's self-evident truth, logic and common sense."

He said: "It's we the people, giving the finger to the kings, and the tyrants, and the dictators and the slave drivers. It's alive and well, but you have to vote [for] that."

Describing himself as a "heart and soul asset," Nugent hit out at "the numb n***" he believes are a "liability" to the country.

"We don't want liabilities, we want heart and soul assets to the American Dream," the guitarist said, before slamming the Biden administration, referring to the government as "blood-sucking scammers."

"Everybody around the world is looking at America now and going 'Oh my God, what have you done," Nugent said.

"How could you give up the only experiment in self-government, real rugged individualism, self-sufficiency, independence, fiery p*** and vinegar? How could you give that up and give it to these corrupt monsters in the government?

"Uncle Sam is the enemy of America, the enemy of freedom, and the enemy of the world and we're going to fix that."

"This is insanity," the Nugent added. "But I'm not insane."

Newsweek has reached out to representatives for Ted Nugent and Donald Trump for comment via email and Joe Biden via contact form.

Nugent is a long-time supporter of Trump. In 2016, the musician said the Republican politician should "be given the Medal of Freedom for speaking his mind in such a bold, honest, and straightforward manner."

Nugent endorsed Trump during his 2020 campaign, calling the 78-year-old "the greatest president in the history of America" during an appearance on the Pat's Soundbytes Unplugged podcast.

"I think he's the greatest leader in the history of the human experience," he told host Pat Calamari.

"I really believe in truth, logic, common sense and those really controversial things, like the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights and the Declaration Of Independence—you know, all those really controversial things.

"I absolutely believe... that he is the best there is right now. And I pay attention to the president."

Speaking to LondonRealTV that same year, Nugent said the real estate mogul was "sent by God" to "drain the toxic swamp."

In March 2023, Nugent urged fellow Trump fans to "remain peaceful," after the former president announced he was going to be arrested on Truth Social.

This was in reference to Trump's New York criminal case, for which he was indicted in April 2023. In May, the former president was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records to hide "hush money" payments to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 general election.

The adult film star said she and Trump had a one-night-stand in 2006. Trump has denied the affair and the charges against him and has suggested his legal struggles are politically motivated.

"Put on your truck light. Put on your porch light. Carry a lantern. We need to stand strong," Nugent said on his YouTube show, The Nightly Nuge.

"If they wanna arrest President Trump, we need to not protest; we need to not put on rallies... because Antifa, Black Lives Matter and these imported Chinese nationals and Somali nationals who are coming across our open border, as orchestrated by Biden Satan gang, they are ready to do battle."
