Matt and Luciana Damon had a special family night out in New York City, turning heads with the whole gang at the premiere of Matt's latest film, The Instigators.

The actor was joined by his wife and their four children – Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, Stella, 13, and Luciana's daughter Alexia, 24, who she shares with Arbello Barroso. It was a rare sight to see the entire family together on the red carpet, which took place on Wednesday, July 31.

Speaking to E! News at the premiere, Matt expressed his joy at having his family present. "We had a lot of family here tonight," the 53-year-old shared. "They normally don't show up for these things, but they all showed up tonight."

The Interstellar actor finds solace in his strong bond with his children. Isabella, in particular, is known for her candid critiques of his work. "If the reviews come out and they're terrible, then she'll watch it," Matt revealed to E!'s Daily Pop in 2021. "If they come out and they're good, she's going to pass. She's looking for ammunition all the time. She's like one of the funniest people I've ever met. She's really cool."

Matt will be joined by his former roommate and actor, Casey Affleck, to return to their Boston roots in the upcoming heist film. The Instigators is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on August 9, and follows the story of Rory (played by Damon), a desperate father who partners with Cobby (Affleck), an ex-con, to rob the Boston mayor (portrayed by Ron Perlman) during his election night party.

The actor discussed his long-standing collaboration with the Affleck brothers, Casey, plus his older brother Ben, that same night with PEOPLE. Reflecting on over 25 years of working together, Damon praised their consistency and partnership. He mentioned that while they occasionally have creative disagreements, these arguments are healthy and do not involve personal feelings or egos. "They're consistently incredible partners to work with. And no, there aren't really, usually, any surprises," he recalled to the outlet.
