Actor and comedian Colin Jost will soon grace our screens as the new host of Jeopardy!'s new pop culture game show, Pop Culture Jeopardy!.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! will operate in a format similar to Jeopardy!, however, will focus more on pop culture topics. According to a press release, Pop Culture Jeopardy! will test contestants' knowledge on topics "from Alternative Rock to The Avengers; Broadway to MMA; Gen Z to Zendaya." Jost's new hosting gig seems fitting, especially given the fact that Jost already provides pop culture news as one of the co-anchors on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" segment. However, the news has longtime Jeopardy! fans divided.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) gushed that Jost's new position is "best news I have ever received" following the announcement. Another X user noted that given Jost's resume, he is the right person for the job.

"I dig it," said another user on X. "Jost is funny and smart. He should do well."

However some fans are less than excited about the news. One person suggested that the hosts should've been Jost's SNL co-star Bowen Yang along with actor and comedian Matt Rogers, who host the Las Culturistas pop culture-centric podcast together. Another X user said they would "audition for this just to terrorize Colin Jost."

Others couldn't help but toss their own jokes into the mix., with one person suggesting that Jost's new gig might become material for his "Weekend Update" co-host Michael Che.

"Im ready for Che use this as a comeback like 'bro you're not even the host of the real jeopardy they had to make a fake one to get you to do something other than sit at this desk for ten minutes once a week,'" wrote one X user.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! is set to begin production this month, and will stream on Prime Video beginning on a soon-to-be-announced date.
