Noah Lyles' girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, has reacted to his gold medal-winning performance in the men's 100-meter final at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

On Sunday, Lyles, an American professional track and field sprinter, triumphed in a photo-finish race. All eight competitors finished within 0.12 seconds of the top spot, with the 27-year-old taking victory by five-thousandths of a second ahead of Jamaica's Kishane Thompson.

Following the race, Bromfield, a 26-year-old Jamaican athlete, took to Instagram and Facebook to react to what had unfolded, after she was seen hugging him in the packed stadium.

"The double is alive," Bromfield told her 62,000 followers on the picture-sharing app, with another 2,000 on Facebook. She also shared a photo of the pair embracing.

Bromfield may be referring to the possibility of Lyles taking home a second solo medal at the Games when he runs in the 200-meter final on Thursday.

If he gets the gold medal, he'll be the first American man to win both races in the same Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984.

He would also be the third man to win both races in the past 50 years, after the Jamaican runner Usain Bolt accomplished the feat in three consecutive Olympics—at the Beijing Games in 2008, London Games in 2012 and Rio Games in 2016.

Bromfield went on to share pictures and videos of Lyles' moment to her Instagram stories, including an image of Lyles with the words "You can't catch me."

Another image included a social media user's message that said, "The best part for me was watching @junellebromfield give him a big hug after patiently waiting as his mum @keisha_caine_bishop said, 'I'm so proud of you.'"

Lyles, who is also set to run in the 4x100-meter relay, and Bromfield have reportedly been dating since 2022 after she reached out to him through social media.

Bromfield, herself an Olympian specializing in the 400 meters, took home the bronze medal in Tokyo 2020 for the 4x400-meter relay.

Speaking about the early days of their relationship on the Fast Lane Lifestyle podcast in June, Lyles said: "We both knew that we liked each other, but she could never get a day off from MVP [Track Club] to come visit. And I couldn't come visit because I'd get what? A few hours? Then I'd have to jump back on a plane to get to Monday practice."

The couple, who now live in Florida, said neither wanted to miss practice, with Lyles adding, "We had goals."
