Prince William and Princess Kate's humorous dynamic has won praise online after a compilation video highlighting past royal engagements went viral on TikTok.

William and Kate's relationship has taken on increased public focus in recent months. In December 2023, the earliest days of their dating history were dramatized as part of Netflix's popular royal drama series The Crown. This was followed by the couple celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary in April.

Since the beginning of 2024, Kate has stepped largely out of the public eye as she has faced health challenges. It was announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and had been recommended a course of preventive chemotherapy.

Prince William scaled down his own appearances at this time to support his wife and the couple's three children: Prince George (born 2013); Princess Charlotte (born 2015); and Prince Louis (born 2018).

In the absence of regular new appearances from the couple at this time, fans have taken to social media to share favorite highlights from past engagements.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @kittywaless on July 30, a compilation of clips showing William and Kate's joking dynamic when out and about in public has attracted over 208,000 views so far on the video-sharing platform.

The post includes the opening footage of Kate pulling her husband a pint of cider during a visit to the city of Truro in Cornwall, southwest England, back in 2016. The princess expertly filled a glass behind the bar at the Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm before offering it to William to taste.

"Is that for me?" the prince joked before telling his wife: "You're too kind."

Another clip plays on the couple's established joke when meeting newborn babies on engagements that Kate would like to have more children while William is resistant.

During a visit to Burnley in Northern England in 2022, the princess took the opportunity to hold one of the babies in attendance while William watched on, telling bystanders: "Don't give my wife any more ideas!"

Also included is footage of the couple dancing as part of a Vaiku Falekaupule celebration during an official visit to the island of Tuvalu in the South Pacific in 2012.

The TikTok compilation has received in excess of 19,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised William and Kate and their relationship.

"Classic royal banter," wrote one user. "Love they're not afraid to let the royal mask slip."

"I just know they have the goofiest dances with their kids at home," posted another, with a further comment reading: "I love the way she says William."
