Fans have loved seeing Lindsay Lohan back on their screens. Earlier this year, she made a surprise appearance in the Mean Girls remake as a moderator in an academic tournament, and later, played the leading lady in the Netflix rom-com, Irish Wish. But soon, Lohan, 38, will reprise one of her classic roles —- Anna Coleman from the 2003 adaptation of Freaky Friday.

Production on the Freaky Friday sequel began earlier this year, and Lohan and her on-screen mother, Jamie Lee Curtis, have been spotted and photographed filming. However, it looks like production has taken a slight pause, and Lohan is treating herself and her 1-year-old son Luai to some R&R.

According to a report from Daily Mail, Lohan was spotted out-and-about in Laguna Beach, California, cradling Luai in hand. Lohan was wearing a flowing black-and-white polka-dot top, and matching bottoms with a red and purple pattern.

While Lohan is excited to bring the new Freaky Friday movie to the screen, and to be making a long-awaited return to acting, she believes being a mother is what brings her the most joy.

In an interview with Good Morning America last month, Lohan opened up about motherhood and expressed her gratitude over her son.

"I'm so grateful for every moment of it, just every second," Lohan said. "Every morning waking up and running to grab my son and just looking at him and when he looks me back in the eyes, just I'm gonna like, get emotional. It's just the most beautiful. I'm just so grateful every day."

The Freaky Friday sequel is expected to arrive in theaters in 2025. Though details have been kept under wraps, Lohan did share a little bit of info regarding what to expect from the sequel in the interview.

"I can't say much, but I am taking guitar lessons and I do have a daughter in the movie," she said. "It's going to be a really Freaky Friday. Much freakier than you would expect."
