A collection of Princess Kate's high-profile appearances has won praise online as the royal continues her time out of the public eye while undergoing treatment for cancer.

Social-media fans have been outspoken in their support of the princess since she stepped back from royal duties in January to undergo abdominal surgery. She announced in March that she is receiving preventive chemotherapy treatment linked to a cancer diagnosis.

Kate has made two official appearances so far this year: the first in June to attend the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London; and the second to watch the Wimbledon tennis championship men's final in July in the English capital. In June, the princess gave a personal health update, telling the public that, though continuing her treatment, she hoped now to be able to undertake work from home and begin more appearances over the summer.

In the absence of regular new appearances, fans of the royal have taken to social media to reflect on past highlights from throughout her 13 years as a working member of the monarchy.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @gclsv on August 5, the latest of these posts to go viral shows a number of clips from Kate's public engagements, opening with dramatic footage from one of her most high-profile undertakings.

The opening footage shows Kate as she stepped out of her car and headed to the great west doors of Westminster Abbey in London to attend the "Together at Christmas" community carol service in 2023.

Kate spearheaded the service in 2021 as a way to thank front-line service workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has since become an annual event attended by senior and extended members of the royal family.

As the princess stepped out of her car and headed to greet members of the clergy at the abbey doors in 2023, she was illuminated by camera flashes from the banks of press photographers who had gathered for the event.

The photos featured in news coverage around the world and the moment went viral on social media.

Also included in the TikTok compilation is footage of Kate attending several events connected with her work in early childhood developments. Kate founded the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood in 2021 as part of the charitable organization she shares with Prince William.

The post has received more than 204,000 views on TikTok so far, gaining over 14,400 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the princess.

"Total megastar moment," wrote one fan. "The flashes!"

"She has so much aura," posted another, while a further comment added: "The best."
