It looks like one heartbreak ballad queen has all the reason to celebrate. Grammy-winning singer Adele confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul during a concert in Munich, Germany on Thursday, August 8.

The "Easy On Me" hitmaker revealed the news after a fan in the audience humorously asked for her hand in marriage.

"I can't marry you because I'm already getting married, so I can't," Adele, 36, told the audience member, holding up her left hand. Though she wasn't wearing a ring during the performance, Adele was recently seen sporting a pear-shaped diamond on her ring finger while in her home country. The news of Adele's engagement was met with cheers and applause from the audience. And of course, fans across the world are sending their love to the soon-to-be newlyweds.

One Adele fan account on X (formerly Twitter) shared that they are "ecstatic for her" and Paul.

As much of Adele's catalog contains sad songs about pain, love, and loss, one would imagine she's become guarded over the years. But most fans are happy that she's finally found someone right for her.

Neither Adele nor Paul, 42, have offered a timeline as to when a wedding will take place, but their eventual marriage will mark Adele's second, her first being to Simon Konecki, from 2018 to 2021. Her most recent album, 30, released in 2021, was inspired by her divorce from Konecki, and contains the song "All Night Parking," which she wrote in the early stages of falling in love with Paul.

One suggested that the news of the engagement could signify a change in musical direction for Adele's next album.

"So if Adele is engaged and getting married and she wrote 'All Night Parking' about him then the next album's going to be full of 'All Night Parking's' oh we won so bad," said the fan.

And of course, as her friend Beyoncé is known to send flowers to fellow women in music during big life events, some joked that her florist is going to have her hands full.
