Rob Reiner's comment on Joe Rogan and Donald Trump has gone viral on social media.

Rogan, who hosts the popular The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, praised independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on a recent episode.

"He's the only one that makes sense to me. He doesn't attack people, he attacks actions and ideas, but he's much more reasonable and intelligent. I mean, the guy was an environmental lawyer and he cleaned up the East River. He's a legitimate guy," Rogan said during the episode, which dropped on Thursday.

Rogan said both Republicans and Democrats "gaslight" and "manipulate" but said Kennedy is "the only one who is not doing that."

On Friday, Reiner shared his thoughts on Rogan's remarks in a message posted to X, formerly Twitter.

"Joe Rogan abandons Trump. They're dropping like flies," the All in the Family star wrote. At the time of publication, his post had been viewed more than 420,000 times, and his followers flooded the post with comments.

But while some followers were in support of Reiner, including @AreMond2 who said:
"DJT is loosing a lot of support," and @ArtCandee who wrote: "They really are panicking," others blasted him for giving "misinformation."

Comments included: "He didn't abandon anyone, he was talking about RFK as a person, not politically, he even set the record straight."

And: "Joe Rogan never endorsed him? You're generating false headlines, then claiming victory..."

While @OurOnlyRepublic said: "No - he didn't. Why must you constantly lie? And why are you still on Twitter? Didn't you say you were leaving? Multiple times?"

Following Rogan's comments, Kennedy thanked Rogan in a message shared to X. "From one "legitimate" guy to another, thank you @JoeRogan for always putting substance first."

"This election is not about left vs. right. It's about Americans of goodwill coming together to end the tyranny of corruption in our system – so that we once again have a government and economy that works for all people," he said. "Let's do this."

Like Reiner's Tweet, Rogan's remarks also riled up Trump's supporters, including Trump himself.

In a message shared to Truth Social, the Republican presidential candidate said, "It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024 [Make America Great Again]."

Rogan later clarified his remarks in a message shared to X.

"For the record, this isn't an endorsement," the UFC commentator said. "This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. I think we could use more of that in this world. I also think Trump raising his fist and saying 'fight!' after getting shot is one of the most American f***ing things of all time. I'm not the guy to get political information from. If you want that from a comic, go to @ComicDaveSmith. He actually knows what he's talking about."

In 2022, Rogan said he did not vote for Trump or Joe Biden in the last presidential election.

"He can't talk right anymore," Rogan said of Biden on The Joe Rogan Experience at the time.

"That was one of the things that people were saying, that I was a Trump supporter during the election because I said I would vote for Trump before I would vote for Biden," he added. "But I didn't vote for either."

This isn't the first time Reiner has been vocal about politics. In July, the filmmaker urged Biden to step down from his reelection campaign prior to the president dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.
