Donald Trump's second wife threw her support behind the former president ahead of his live interview with Elon Musk.
Marla Maples was married to Trump for six years until their divorce in 1999 and is the mother of his second daughter, Tiffany Trump.
The actress and TV personality was one of many to tune into Monday night's anticipated chat between Trump and the tech billionaire on the latter's social media platform X, formerly Twitter.
Ahead of the audio-only discussion on the X Spaces feature, Marples asked people to listen to it with open minds.
"I hope everyone will be curious and open," she wrote on X.
Maples wrote her message on a repost of Musk explaining to people how the event was planned to unfold.
"My use of the word conversation is deliberate. This is so that people understand how @realDonaldTrump talks when it's a conversation, rather than an interview. Nobody is quite themselves in an interview, so it's hard to understand what they're really like," Musk wrote on X.
People reacted to Marples' first post in the replies.
"Incredible conversation, Both Patriots," wrote @erin1pugh.
"This exact sentiment. Thank you for saying it. Many Americans don't understand how fortunate we are to have free speech. 🇺🇸," added @jennvinestx.
And @cesmith78 commented: "It says alot about the type of person President Trump is that both you and Ivana supported him for president."
But as the event was due to take place, Marples revealed she was one of many experiencing technical issues which forced the chat to start 40 minutes later than planned.
"Anyone seeing this when trying to Live Stream Elon Musk interview?" Marples wrote on a screenshot of the error message on her phone which showed a monkey covering its ears emoji with the caption, "this space is not available."
She later added as the issues continued: "Anyone having this issue besides my friends and me?"
Musk later explained the technical issues happened because of a "massive DDOS [distributed denial of services] attack."
A DDOS attack when a network of computers are used to contact a target website, in this case X, all at once in order to overload the site so that legitimate users can't access it.
Trump first married Czech model Ivana Trump (nee Zelníčková) in 1977 but divorced in 1990 after his affair with Maples. Trump shared children Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric with Ivana before her death in 2022.
After his divorce from Maples, Trump married Slovenian model Melania Trump (nee Knauss) and their share son Barron, 18.
