Michael Strahan continues to be missing from Good Morning America.

The former NFL player was noticeably absent from his spot on the ABC talk show, with GMA correspondent Rebecca Jarvis filling in for him again for the Tuesday, July 2 broadcast. It is the second week in a row that fans have been left wondering about Strahan, who last appeared in a broadcast on Friday, June 21.

As of yet, neither Strahan nor any of the other Good Morning America co-hosts have confirmed a reason for the two-week absence. His last social media posts include a "Motivation Monday" video, and a clip from the June 21 episode of Good Morning America.

Strahan was last absent from the show in early June, and though he did not give a reason then either, it did coincide with his daughter Isabella Strahan finishing her last chemotherapy treatments. Isabella, 19, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in October 2023. She has documented her health journey, which has included three craniotomies and four rounds of chemo, on her YouTube channel.

On June 14, Isabella shared "Vlog 25," which documented her confetti parade and ringing the chemo bell to symbolize finishing her treatment. The heartwarming video showed Isabella joined by her family, including father Michael, who were all emotional to celebrate the achievement. It is possible that Strahan has once again stepped away to be with family for the momentous occasion.

Michael has previously spoken on Good Morning America about how his daughter's difficult cancer journey has changed him. "You'd think I'm the athlete, the tough guy, the father in the family. It is not about any of that. It has really made me change my perspective on so many things," he said, adding, "I love my life and I enjoy my life, but at some point, my kids are in college, I want to be able to go to college and say, 'Yeah let's take a trip.'"

While he loves his job, Michael explained that there will come a time when he will want that freedom from scheduling conflicts. However, he did not specify how much longer he'd be on the air before retiring.

"I don't want to lose gratefulness of being there and being a part of something," Strahan said. "I'll be off TV before a lot of people are sick of me being on TV." He even jokingly compared himself to the character Forrest Gump, who abruptly ended his cross-country run, surprising the crowd behind him. "That's me when it's over. Turn around and go home," he said.
