Jimmy Kimmel is all laughs — until it comes to the health of his children.

Kimmel, who shares daughter Jane, 10, and son Billy, 7, with wife Molly McNearney, has been candid about Billy's heart condition over the years. (The late-night talk show host is also father of adult children Katie, 32, and Kevin, 30, whom he shares with his first wife, Gina Maddy.) Billy was born with a heart defect, which has forced him to undergo three open-heart surgeries in his seven years of life, the most recent one in May.

On a recent episode of the Politickin' with Gavin Newsom, Marshawn Lynch, and Doug Hendrickson podcast, Kimmel opened up about how his youngest is faring in the wake of his third — and hopefully final — heart procedure.

"He's a very funny kid; he's totally fine now," the dad-of-four shared. "Hopefully, he'll never have to have another surgery of any kind thanks to the Children's Hospital in LA, which is a great hospital." (Kimmel has profusely thanked Children's Hospital Los Angeles on social media and his eponymous talk show and encouraged his social media following to donate to the hospital.)

"You'd never know other than the scar on his chest, you'd never know he had [surgery]," Kimmel added.

In May, Kimmel shared a post-op photo of his youngest son, along with a lengthy caption thanking his loved ones and admiring Billy's strength.

"Thanks to those loving strangers who took time to pray for and send positive energy to our baby, thanks to our family and friends for rallying around us to an almost-ridiculous extent, thank you to my wife Molly for being stronger than is reasonable for any Mom to be and Billy, you are the toughest (and funniest) 7-year-old we know."
