Joe Rogan has long been open about his political and cultural stances, to the point of controversy. He has outwardly expressed his skepticism toward the COVID-19 vaccine, has maintained a friendship with Donald Trump (though he has not outwardly endorsed him), and has made comments that people have deemed transphobic. But recently, Rogan, 57, had something to say that even surprised his followers. During a recent episode of his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan praised Vice President Kamala Harris for one of her most recent speeches.

During the Wednesday, August 14, episode of the podcast, Rogan recalled the presidential candidate's speech at her Atlanta rally late last month. In the speech, Harris responded to Trump and his refusal to debate her.

"I do have to say that one speech she gave right after they decided she was going to be the nominee, that one speech where she said, 'If you're going to say something, why don't you say it to my face?' It was great timing," Rogan said. The remark was a stark contrast to a previous comment he made last week about the democratic nominee, in which Rogan claimed the only reason Harris could win the election is because "people would prefer that over President Trump." He has also previously expressed support for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Rogan continued to praise Harris' comeback, noting that Harris' stage presence will continue to be a problem for Trump.

"What she did was like a pro. She did that like a pro," the controversial commentator noted. "That's where it gets dangerous," he said. "She f***ing nailed it."

While this is a surprising comment from Rogan, Harris supporters are urging viewers to take this with a grain of salt.

"In the same clip, he basically called her a moron and said she was probably coached for that," said one person on X (formerly Twitter).

Some Rogan followers insist the clip is "manipulated" and doesn't offer full context of what he meant.

Others say that Trump supporters are in for a big awakening this election season.

"The fact that past Trump cheerleaders like Megyn Kelly and Rogan are turning on Trump underscores the trouble he's in," said one X user. "Buckle up, MAGA world; it'll get worse."

At the time of writing, neither Harris nor her team have responded to Rogan's comments.
