Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is back and better than ever, making its highly anticipated return to London on Thursday night.

Marking Swift's first performance in the city since a brief break following canceled concerts in Vienna due to a thwarted terror threat, Wembley Stadium was packed with thousands of Swifties dressed in their Eras-themed outfits, eager to experience the August 15 show despite heightened security measures.

Fans were more than excited to have the 34-year-old songstress back on stage, with many taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their emotions about her performance and the concert as a whole.

"Without any words, Taylor Swift conveyed all of the emotions that have built up in her since last week. 🥲🫶, " posted one fan, along with a video of Swift looking visibly emotional as she took the stage.

"Honestly, I hope this photo hits anyone who dares to assume she doesn't care straight in the heart," said another, sharing a photo of the 14-time Grammy winner with tears in her eyes as she looked at the crowd.

A third fan hilariously chimed in, noting, "I also cry when she comes on stage so we have that in common 💀."

Security protocols at the venue were also intensified, with hidden and visible measures in place to protect concertgoers. Security expert Ben Knott explained to CBS News ahead of the concert that the U.K. has been focused on enhancing event security since the 2017 bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, which claimed 22 lives. "Every major event that goes on is continually assessed all the time," Knott said. "If it was deemed not to be safe, it wouldn't be going ahead here in the U.K.," he said to the outlet.

Besides the obvious emotional return of the "Fortnight" singer, fans were also elated to see her bring out Ed Sheeran for an exciting mash-up of "Everything Has Changed," "End Game," and his song, "Thinking Out Loud."

"EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED WITH ED SHEERAN 😭😭😭," posted one famous Swift fan account on X.

"the way she ruffles his hair and kisses his head 😭🫶," another fan posted along with a video of the moment Swift gave Sheeran a warm hug on stage.

Others noted the way the arch at the famous stadium's arch lit up during the 1989 set, reflecting the colors that go along with Swift's album. "I AM NOT KIDDING. RED AND GREEN REP COLORS DURING 1989 SET," posted one, along with a photo of the arch.

Swift's Wembley performances continue throughout the weekend with shows on August 16, 17, 19, and 20. After wrapping up her London dates, she will take a break before heading to Miami in October to kick off the last North American leg of The Eras Tour.
