A fan's moment singing on stage with American rapper Macklemore quickly took a turn when she was arrested immediately after her performance at the Lovestream festival in Slovakia on Sunday, August 18.

According to a Facebook post by Slovakian police, the young woman was so caught up in the excitement of singing with her idol that she seemed to forget she was wanted by authorities.

The fan reportedly took to social media to brag about her impromptu duet with Macklemore, but her celebratory post led to her undoing.

The police, who were supervising public order at the festival held at an old airport in west Slovakia over the weekend, were alerted to her presence by a third party who recognized the woman from the post.

"The woman immortalized this experience and boasted about it on a social network, which did not escape the attention of an observant citizen, who at the same time follows the site of the Interior Ministry Wanted List. He recognized the woman and found out that he had just seen her on the above-mentioned website and informed the police immediately," the police's Facebook statement, originally in Slovak, read.

The officers let the woman have her moment before the arrest as they reportedly waited until the song was finished to escort her away.

The authorities refrained from specifying the exact nature of her alleged crimes. Slovakian media, however, found her picture on the wanted list and reported she is a 24-year-old bartender accused of not paying a fine after running shirtless during a football match in Slovakia in 2019 where she was reportedly working as part of the staff.

The outlet 7 Plus reported that she spent the weekend in custody, was banned from attending similar events, and fined 800 Euros ($890) which she allegedly failed to pay.

Macklemore, who performed on the main stage on Saturday night, was one of many artists featured at Lovestream festival over the weekend. Other main stage acts included 50 Cent, Rita Ora, Chase & Status, and Tiësto. The festival also includes an electronic stage featuring EDM artists until 3 a.m.

Macklemore, from Seattle, Washington, rose to fame in the early 2010s in collaboration with producer Ryan Lewis, a partnership which yielded multiple number 1 singles. He is currently touring Europe and will return to for a live concert in his native Seattle in November.
