Jelly Roll has long cited his wife, Bunnie XO, as an inspiration — not only for his music, but for himself as a person. Jelly, 39, whose real name is Jason DeFord, is often accompanied by Bunnie, 44, whose legal name is Alyssa DeFord, at awards shows, concerts, and red carpets. In recent years, Bunnie has garnered her own following as a podcast host and a social media figure.

Bunnie first launched her podcast Dumb Blonde back in 2019. Dumb Blonde touches on a variety of topics, including mental health, dating, and sex. Some of her most memorable guests include rapper Lil Wyte, — with whom Jelly was part of the Hypnotize Minds camp before pivoting into country music — TikTok star Ophelia "Mama Tot" Nichols, and most recently, singer Elle King, who opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her father, Rob Schneider.

On her podcast, Bunnie has also been open about her past as an escort, as well as producing sexual content online. Back in March, she celebrated one year of retiring from the sex work industry.

Bunnie wears many hats — podcaster, loving wife, and step-mother to Jelly's children, Bailee Ann, 16, and Noah Buddy, 8. She took to Instagram back in June to reveal that she and Jelly have opted to undergo IVF.

"We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our ivf journey needed to be shared because we've always been so open," said Bunnie in an Instagram post. "And w/all odds stacked against us, it's always been hard & we have only just begun."

Though the DeFords originally wed in 2016 — in a private courthouse wedding in a Las Vegas chapel, unbeknownst to family and friends — the two renewed their vows back in 2023. Their second ceremony took place in the same Vegas chapel where they first tied the knot.

Originally, the two first got married after a year of dating, after Jelly proposed to Bunnie onstage at a Yelawolf and Deftones concert. They made their way to the courthouse just moments before it closed, and got married on that same night.

Over the course of his career, Jelly has credited Bunnie as his biggest supporter. Jelly — who has endured various jail stints for possession-related crimes, as well as aggravated robbery — has often said that she inspired him to change his ways. "To watch what this woman has overcame and her passion and determination to be something better has inspired me from the moment I met her," said Jelly in a Facebook caption. "She saved me in one of the darkest times of my life. She has been nothing but supportive."

Jelly's latest music video for "Lonely Road" — a John Denver-sampling collaboration with MGK — takes inspiration from real-life events. In the video, Bunnie stars alongside Jelly, and the two play a couple struggling with infertility.

While Jelly might be one of music's biggest stars, Bunnie herself is a woman of many talents, and maintains a powerful presence within the TikTok and podcast realm.
