Over the past year, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have taken the world by storm with their romance. The pop hitmaker and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have made several public appearances with each other, often appearing happy, in love, and carefree. Since their romance began, Travis and Swift, both 34, have continued to inspire each other — Travis with Swift's music, as noted by her lyrics, and Swift with Travis's stage presence.

The couple appears to be America's sweethearts, with many people following their every step. Here's everything we know about the two lovebirds' cinematic romance.

He attended the Eras Tour

Travis first attempted to shoot his shot with Swift during the Kansas City stop of her critically-acclaimed Eras Tour on July 8, 2023. He watched to show from a private box, and was seen interacting with fans. He would later reveal that he had brought a friendship bracelet for Swift, however, he was unable to meet with her after the show.

He spoke of the missed connection on podcast

On an episode of his New Heights podcast, which was made available for streaming on July 26, 2023, Travis shared with his brother, Jason, that he had made a friendship bracelet — per Swiftie tradition — for Swift, and also wanted to give her his phone number. But unfortunately, he was unable to find time to connect with her. "I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis said, "so I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."

She joined his mom at Chiefs game

In September 2023, Swift made her first appearance at a Chiefs game, to support Travis as the team took on the Chicago Bears. She was spotted in a box with Travis' mother, Donna Kelce. Swift would later be spotted at several Chiefs games throughout the NFL season cheering Travis on while on break from her Eras Tour.

She changed the lyrics to her hit single "Karma" in live performances

When the Eras Tour resumed in Argentina in November 2023, Swift took fans — and Travis — by surprise when she changed the lyrics to one of her Midnights cuts, "Karma." On the song's bridge, she sings "Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me," presumably referring to her ex, actor Joe Alwyn. But in this life performance, and a few after, Swift sang, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me." She then shared a passionate kiss with Kelce after the show.

She said his approach was "metal as hell"

In an interview for Time after being named 2023's Person of the Year, Swift revealed how her romance with Kelce began. She shared that they first started hanging out after Kelce had mentioned her on New Heights and that before she attended her first Chiefs game, the two got to know each other in private. "This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," Swift said. "We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other."

She attended Super Bowl LVIII with Kelce's family and her friends

Swift attended Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024, where she was seated in a suite with Donna, as well as her friends, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice, and Brittany Mahomes. The Chiefs would defeat the San Francisco 49ers in a 25-22 victory, earning Travis his third Super Bowl ring.

She seemingly alluded to him on her album The Tortured Poets Department

In April 2024, Swift released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. Hours later, she released an expanded version of the album called The Anthology, which featured the song "So High School." One particular lyric expresses Swift's joy in simple, quality time with a specific man. "Brand new, full throttle / Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto / It's true, swear, scout's honor / You knew what you wanted and, boy, you got her." While Swift rarely reveals who exactly her songs are about, fans theorized that she is particularly referring to Kelce.

He joined her on stage at the Eras Tour

In June 2024, Travis joined Swift on stage at a London stop of the Eras Tour, where he performed a tap dance inspired by a scene from Dumb and Dumber. He spoke about the appearance on an episode of New Heights, saying "It's such a fun, playful part of the show. It was the perfect time for me to go up there and just be a ham and have some fun."

The two have reportedly been talking on the phone every day while she has been on tour

In early August 2024, The Sun reported that Swift and Travis talk on the phone daily, as Swift had been booked with the Eras Tour and Travis was going through NFL training camp for the upcoming season. The publication even noted that Travis keeps a phone with him at all times, ready to support Swift, especially following a foiled terrorist plot in Vienna. Travis' father, Ed, shared a report of the story on his personal Facebook page, seemingly confirming that this is true.
