Amy Robach shared that her former GMA co-host George Stephanopoulos had little faith in Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage from the beginning.

On the Thursday, August 22 episode of her and T.J. Holmes' podcast, Amy & T.J., Robach, 51, revealed that Stephanopoulos, 63, predicted the high-profile couple wouldn't last long after their initial wedding in July 2022. According to the news anchor, Stephanopoulos rolled his eyes and quipped, "I give it six months," when Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, tied the knot.

Robach recalled how the conversation happened on set shortly after Bennifer's wedding – she and Holmes, 47, were enthusiastic about their love story, but their co-anchor's prediction put a damper on their excitement. While Robach didn't take the remark seriously at the time, she admitted it stuck with her after the couple officially filed for divorce two years later, exactly on the anniversary of their second wedding celebration – Tuesday, August 20.

Holmes admitted in the episode that he was genuinely upset when he found out about the split. He even sent Robach a text at 3:22 a.m., expressing his disappointment. "I was rooting for them," Holmes said.

Rumors of a split between Lopez and Affleck had been circulating for months before the news became official. The pair, who first dated in the early 2000s before ending their engagement in 2004, rekindled their romance nearly two decades later, doubling down and tying the knot twice in 2022. However, cracks reportedly began to show earlier this year, with speculation that the couple had been living apart since the spring.

Further signaling trouble, the couple reportedly put their 12-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion on the market in July, just a year after purchasing it for over $60 million. Lopez later officially filed for divorce on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding.

Despite the grand hopes that Bennifer's rekindled romance would go the distance this time around, it seems that, as Stephanopoulos once predicted, it was not meant to last.
