From James Bond to Indiana Jones and even Queen Elizabeth II, the actors of 1923 have played some of the most famous characters in cinema history.

Filming for the sophomore season of the hit Paramount+ series is underway after season one finished airing in February 2023.

A prequel to the Kevin Costner-led Yellowstone, it has been a huge hit and was the most-watched Paramount+ premiere ever in the U.S. with 7.4 million viewers.

The period drama is set in Montana and focuses on one generation of the Dutton family as the world faces the onset of the Great Depression, drought and Prohibition.

With some of the most recognized faces in Hollywood, here is what the cast of 1923 has starred in outside of Montana.

Harrison Ford

From Indiana Jones to Star Wars, Harrison Ford is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood.

Ford plays Jacob Dutton, head of the Dutton family who is working hard to keep hold of his family's land.

Some of his most notable roles include in Blade Runner, The Fugitive and Air Force One among many others.

Helen Mirren

She won an Academy Award for playing the queen in the film of the same name and plays Cara Dutton, matriarch of the Dutton family.

Regarded as one of the most talented actresses of her generation, Mirren has also starred in Barbie (as the narrator), Gosford Park, Catherine the Great and in multiple chapters of the Fast & the Furious franchise.

Brandon Sklenar

Born and raised in New Jersey, Sklenar is making quite the name for himself in Hollywood. His most recent project sees him starring opposite Blake Lively in the film It Ends With Us.

Sklenar also played icon Burt Reynolds in The Offer, a TV drama about the making of The Godfather. He also has appeared in Westworld, Vice and Walker: Independence.

Darren Mann

The Jack Dutton actor burst onto the scene in 1923 but has also earned praise for playing Baz in the TV show Animal Kingdom opposite Ellen Barkin.

Some of his other credits include Breakwater and a lead role in the Canadian series, Fortunate Son.

Julia Schlaepfer

Schleapfer hails from Washington state and her other major starring role was in the Netflix satirical series The Politician.

In 2022, she appeared in the movie The Sky is Everywhere, produced by A24 studios.

Timothy Dalton

Another of the Hollywood legends in the 1923 cast is the British-born actor best known for playing international spy James Bond in the movies The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill.

James Bond is not the only major film he's been in. Dalton is also the voice of Mr. Pricklepants in the Toy Story animated movies.

His more recent TV credits include Doom Patrol and the supernatural series Penny Dreadful.

Jerome Flynn

Another Brit in the cast, Flynn is probably best known to international audiences for playing Bronn in HBO's Game of Thrones.

Flynn's movie roles have included John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum and TV movies The Change and The Trick.

Brian Geraghty

Geraghty graduated from The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York City before moving to Los Angeles, where he landed roles in some major films, including The Hurt Locker, Bobby, Flight and The Guardian.

But Geraghty is best known for his role as Ronald on ABC's Big Sky, which also starred Ryan Phillippe. He also starred in Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.

Aminah Nieves

The actress is described as "a Queer Indigenous Actor and Herbalist based in the Midwest," by Bafta.

Playing Teonna Rainwater in 1923 is Nieves' breakout role, having previously made short films.

Nieves studied Dramatic Arts in New York and is also a trained singer and musician.

Jennifer Ehle

The British-American actress got her big break playing Elizabeth Bennett opposite Colin Firth in the 1995 BBC adaptation of the Jane Eyre novel Pride and Prejudice.

She has also starred in Zero Dark Thirty, The Comey Rule, The Looming Tower and The Professor and a Madman.
