Zahara Jolie showed Spelman College that she's got the moves.
The 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie, 49, and Brad Pitt, 60, was seen dancing with her sorority sisters to the tune of "Back Outside" by Anycia and Latto. She wore a green tank top, denim shorts, and sneakers in the video shared to TikTok with the caption, "AKAs at Spelman College🫶😍."
Zahara joined Alpha Kappa Alpha — the first historically Black sorority — in 2023. She introduced herself at the time as "Zahara Marley Jolie," choosing to drop her father's last name, in a video posted by Essence. "Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California ... I am this line's number seven," she continued.
Her sister, Shiloh, 18, filed to remove her father's last name on her 18th birthday on May 27, 2024. In July 2024, it was reported that the process had been delayed due to the court not completing the essential background check in time, as reported by Page Six.
Though it is not clear if Vivienne, 16, had legally changed her last name, she did drop Pitt from her last name in the playbill for The Outsiders, which she helped her mother produce. She was simply listed as "Vivienne Jolie," as confirmed by People.
Fans flooded the comments of the TikTok to praise Zahara, with one person posting, "Zahara Jolie slayyyyy." Another shared her excitement for Zahara, writing, "Zahara found her people ❤️❤️❤️."
A third TikTok user commented, "The excitement that I felt when I see Zahara !!!!!! go ahead and live your best college life girllllll yasssss ! (I'm Delta by the way) 😂❤️💕."
Jolie revealed that her daughter would be attending Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, a Historically Black College committed to the higher education of Black women, in an Instagram post.
"Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl," the Oscar winner wrote in a post shared in July 2022.
