Jason Kelce has fired shots at his wife, Kylie Kelce, for not recognizing Olympic great Michael Phelps.

The New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, hosted by the two brothers, is back for Season 3. Throughout the show, the NFL stars talk about everything from their beloved sport to what's making headlines and their private lives—including Travis' romance with singer Taylor Swift.

During their first episode back on Wednesday, Jason gave a recap of his time at the Summer Olympics in Paris. He retold a story from when he and Kylie, who share daughters Bennett, Elliotte and Wyatt, were in the audience watching the women's Olympics—and Kylie was so distracted by a baby that she didn't recognize the most decorated Olympian of all time.

Newsweek emailed the New Heights podcast for further comment on Wednesday.

"We're sitting there watching the women's gymnastics final. We hadn't seen the kids in a while and I think Kylie's feeling a little bit of that, like, baby, like, 'I need to, I'm missing my kids,' right?" the former Philadelphia Eagles center explained.

"And we're sitting there and Kylie turns around and she turns back and says 'Oh my gosh, there's a baby up there and it's so adorable.' And I turn and it's f****** Michael Phelps holding his child.

"Kylie, if you see Michael Phelps, you don't say 'Someone is holding the baby.' Like what are we talking about right now? That's the most decorated Olympian in the history of the Olympics holding a baby. You lead with Michael Phelps."

As the two men laughed, Travis said: "Ky is funny as f*** for that. You turn around, you don't even see the baby you just see Michael Phelps, like, 'What? I didn't even realize he had a baby in his hands.'"

"Yeah, I was like, 'Are you kidding me? That—the baby isn't the highlight of what's happening over there,'" Jason said as he laughed.

"Oh yes it is, oh yes it is," Travis replied, as Jason quipped: "The baby is always the highlight."

Travis added: "A Phelps offspring is exciting for America, OK? That's exciting for America. Shout out to Michael Phelps, such a good dude."

The amusing moment has been discussed before; Kylie previously told People about the time she saw an "adorable baby" in the Olympic crowd. She told the publication that a gentleman behind them was turned about, taking a picture of someone when she caught a glimpse of his baby.

"I'm talking, had the stadium headphones on, smushing his little cheeks forward, just great chunky cheeks. I was like: 'Jason, you have to turn around and look at this baby,'" the mother of three said.

"Jason's like: 'What do you mean?' And I was like: 'You gotta look at this baby, it's so cute.' And he turns around, he goes: 'Kylie, that is Michael Phelps holding the baby.'

"One of those moments where you're like, I wasn't even, it hadn't even crossed my mind to look at the person holding the baby. I was so concerned about how cute that baby was. So that's the moment where I was like, 'We need to go home so I can squeeze my own children.'"

Travis and Jason's hit podcast has returned with a bang, as it is getting a lucrative nine-figure deal with Wondery, a podcast platform owned by Amazon. The multiyear deal means Wondery will have global distribution rights to all audio and video episodes of the podcast, its back catalog and the right to create international audio adaptations of the podcast.

"We couldn't be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of New Heights," the football stars said in a statement released by Amazon.

"We love this show and the fan base that has grown with us over the last two seasons. Wondery understands the shared vision and will offer a wealth of experience and resources to take us to new heights! We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership. We are thrilled to start Season 3—see you soon, 92%ers!"

The "92%ers" is a nickname the brothers bestowed fans of the podcast.

Although Wondery has not disclosed an official price for the acquisition, Variety and other publications have reported the platform paid $100 million.

Acquiring New Heights ought to benefit the podcasting platform. It was the fourth most listened-to podcast in the U.S. in 2023 and is a top-rated show on Apple and Spotify podcast charts. Additionally, it has garnered numerous accolades, including podcast of the year at iHeartMedia's 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards.
