Princess Charlotte's regal curtsy has won praise from fans after footage captured during the coronation celebrations for her grandfather, King Charles III, in 2023 resurfaced on social media site, TikTok.

Charlotte is the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate. She is currently third in the official line of succession to inherit the British throne, having taken on a more senior position within the monarchy since the September 2022 death of her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The princess celebrated her ninth birthday in May, marked with a new portrait release taken by her mother.

In recent years, instances where Charlotte has been spotted performing royal curtsies have sparked viral moments online, with the three children of William and Kate gaining an increasing fanbase.

Curtsies are a traditional gesture of respect that are today offered most visibly by female members of the royal family twice daily to the monarch and their consort. On days where the royals will meet the king or queen, they will offer a curtsy in the form of a bend to the knee and bowing of the head upon first meeting and then again when saying goodbye.

Uploaded to TikTok by user charlotteedisx, this month, footage of Charlotte offering King Charles a respectful curtsy has been viewed over 600,000 times so far.

The clip was captured during the coronation concert, a first-of-its-kind celebration that was held for King Charles on the grounds of Windsor Castle one day after the coronation ceremony itself which was held at Westminster Abbey.

Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince George and Charlotte attended the concert alongside the king and queen and a number of extended royal family members, which featured performances from Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.

As the king took his seat, the princess performed her curtsy alongside her mother, while Prince George offered a customary bow from the neck.

The viral post has received in excess of 74,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised Charlotte.

"She's got such a regal curtsy! Huge respect," wrote one user.

"Um so obsessed with this now😭," posted another, with a further comment reading: "Love this."
