Brittany Mahomes is focused on her family amid Trump drama.
The 28-year-old — who is currently pregnant with the couple's third child — shared a heartwarming clip of husband Patrick Mahomes and their 3-year-old daughter Sterling on Wednesday, August 28.
"My heart 🥹🤍," she captioned the clip, which showed Patrick, 28, reading to their daughter as the pair both lay on their couch.
Sterling's blonde hair was pulled back into a cute braid, and she sported a casual, two-piece outfit as she could be seen playfully kicking her legs in the air. Both are facing away from the camera, seemingly engrossed in the father-daughter bonding moment.
The sweet post comes amid a controversy surrounding Brittany seemingly continuing to like social media posts supporting former President Donald Trump, despite fan outcry.
That same day, Pop Crave shared a screenshot on X (formerly known as Twitter) of an Instagram post on Brittany's account, promoting a partnership with Abercrombie. The post itself was not political, but Republican influencer Michael Solakiewicz did comment, writing, "TRUMP-VANCE 2024," and the Pop Crave screenshot revealed that Brittany had "liked" the comment. The heart has since been removed.
Brittany's like comes after she caught flack for reportedly "liking" an Instagram post from Trump that laid out the Republican Party's controversial 2024 platform. Brittany appeared to slam critics of her supposed political "likes," calling them "haters" in an Instagram Story.
"To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There's no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well," she posted on Saturday, August 24.
She also doubled down in an Instagram Story shared on Monday, August 26, writing, "Read that again!" alongside a screenshot of a post that read, "Contrary to the tone of the world today....you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind."
Swifties took to X to condemn Brittany's actions, with one posting, "The fact Brittany supports Trump who'll suspend the right to political disagreement should disgust people. She's relying on Taylor to cleanse her name."
Another questioned Swift being friends with someone with political opinions like Brittany, writing, "Taylor also did not take legal action against Trump for using AI of her. She hung out with Brittany Mahomes after Brittany's trump support + defense. If we judge by her actions, we must look at those too."
Brittany and Patrick, who tied the knot in 2022, welcomed daughter Sterling on February 20, 2021, and son Patrick "Bronze" on November 28, 2022.
