Podcaster Joe Rogan has been roasted by his own fans for being late to the party on a popular TV show.

Rogan took to his Instagram page to tell his 19.3 million followers that he thoroughly enjoyed the sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders, which aired on Netflix in the U.S.

Peaky Blinders follows organized crime family the Shelbys, headed by Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), and is set in a post-World War I Birmingham, a major city in the English Midlands.

The final season aired in 2022, and while there are plans to make a follow-up feature film, it seems Rogan has only just finished watching the acclaimed drama.

"I just finished binge watching the 6 seasons of Peaky Blinders on @netflix. What a f***** show. I can't recommend it enough," he wrote on the Instagram post, which featured a promotional poster for the show's sixth season.

Despite his recommendation, fans still mocked Rogan for only getting around to watching Peaky Blinders now, but others said his post had falsely filled them with hope that either a new season or the film premiere date was finally being announced.

"Joe how are you this late?," wrote co1bygass.

"Damn bro, you're late but hell why not? Peaky F*****' Blinders!" added @zoocrew_813.

"So late to the game Joe! But better late than never," commented @lookingforsteph.

And @fisnikbeatz replied, "Damn bro had me thinking they making a new season or movie..."

"For a second I thought they were going to drop a new season," wrote @lucasviegaswk.

Rogan's fans should not be surprised he only just finished Peaky Blinders after he spoke about starting the series on June 18 on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, with his guest, author Jack Carr.

In the chat, Rogan he had started watching the show way too late because there were so many shows to catch up on.

"I started watching Peaky Blinders, it's f***** great," he said and later added, "Today is the craziest time ever, there is so much for television and films and so many of these incredible series [to watch]."

Then he continued praising Peaky Blinders on the JRE Fight Companion podcast on August 17, where Rogan expressed his thoughts about Murphy's acting.

"Peaky Blinders is great, dude," Rogan said. "I'm on season 4 now. It's good dude, it's good. Cillian Murphy, that guy is a beast."

"He's great in Oppenheimer," Rogan added, of Murphy's Oscar-winning role in the 2023 Christopher Nolan movie about nuclear physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who led the team to create the atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan in World War II.

"The guy's got such range... A guy who can play a gangster and a nuclear scientist. That's range."

Most recently, Rogan described Murphy's Tommy Shelby character as "one of the most badass protagonists in any drama you've ever seen in your life" during the newest episode of his podcast.
