Blake Shelton is parting ways with his record label after a whopping 20-year run with the company.

Shelton announced he's stepping away from Warner Music Nashville after his two-decade collaboration in a statement on Tuesday, September 3. The country music star thanked both Warner and Giant Records, which was his initial label when he released his debut single, "Austin," way back in 2001.

"I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal. Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some," the 48-year-old stated about his humble beginnings. "It's impossible to name everyone who has had a hand in all the success we enjoyed, but a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville staff and family," he concluded his statement.

"Austin" became a hit – with its success launching Shelton's career in country music. With 12 studio albums to his name, Shelton has had numerous hits, like "God's Country," "Boys 'Round Here," and "Ol' Red," after which he actually named his popular bar Ole Red (which has multiple locations in the U.S.).

Warner Music Nashville returned the kind words, releasing their own statement on the singer. "Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege. Together, we've celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours and award wins," they said.

Recently, Shelton delighted fans by introducing the "newest member of the family" to he and wife Gwen Stefani's Oklahoma ranch: a high-end Kubota RTV-X1130 long bed tractor. On August 20, Shelton posted a video on Instagram showing off the rugged vehicle and excitedly highlighted the tractor's ample trunk space, perfect for his hunting trips.

The Voice judge also appeared on Post Malone's country album F-1 Trillion and revealed a new Las Vegas residency set to start in February 2025. He has not yet announced future plans or whether he will join another major label.
