Some relationships that form on TV are apparently built to last.

Love Island couple Kendall and Jackie revealed their split on Tuesday, August 20, via Instagram stories captured by People. Another fan favorite duo, Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, announced their breakup on Monday, August 26.

However, plenty of duos from the show have stuck it out.

Love Island U.K.

The British version of the reality show was what originally started the franchise, which has produced spin-offs Love Island U.S.A., Love Island Australia, Love Island France, and Love Island All-Stars. Here are the couples from the original series who are still together.

Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland (Season 2)

The U.K. season 1 stars have been married since September 15, 2018, and welcomed son Abel Jacob Bowen (aka A.J.) in June 2022. They've discussed their desire for a second child, but acknowledge it's a big decision, as reported by Digital Spy.

Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde (Season 2)

Nathan and Cara tied the knot in 2019 and seemed to be the perfect couple, but De La Hoyde admitted that they actually separated during her first pregnancy. The reality star told Yahoo News that Nathan "came to every appointment, but we would sit in baby scans and we wouldn't even talk to each other." She told the outlet that they "would not even acknowledge each other" at the appointments. Once their child was born, they reconciled. They also welcomed a second child in 2020.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt (Season 3)

Camilla and Jamie are still going strong, and even welcomed a third baby in May of 2024. Baby Brodie is the first son in the family after two girls, Nora and Nell, as The Sun reported. They welcomed their first child Nell on October 27, 2020, married on September 2, 2021, and had Nora in May of 2022.

Dom Lever and Jess Shears (Season 3)

Dom and Jess were actually the first Love Islanders to get married, according to The Sun. They had a joke wedding on Good Morning Britain on Valentine's Day, 2018, followed by a private ceremony in Mykonos. According to Dom's Instagram, he and Jess are happily raising their two little boys, who both love monster trucks.

Millie Court and Liam Reardon (Season 7)

Millie and Liam won the competition during their season, and after a brief breakup in 2021 rekindled their romance. Court posted an effusive happy birthday message to her boyfriend on Instagram, where she called him her "favorite human." In July 2024, Millie told The Daily Mail that she's waiting for Liam to pop the question.

Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope (Season 8)

Indiyah and Dami recently unveiled a design collaboration and modeled T-shirts that paid homage to their "Jamaican and Nigerian heritage which means a lot to the both of us! 🇯🇲🇳🇬." Posing together with Dami's arm on Indiyah's shoulder, Polack posted on Instagram about "The beauty when two cultures unite." They are not yet married, but as of June 2024 had moved into their second home together.

Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri ( Season 8)

This duo celebrated their two-year anniversary in July 2024 in a sweet Instagram post. "2 years together. Forever to go," wrote Tasha. Andrew gave a big shout-out to his girlfriend when she was announced as a contestant on the British reality show Strictly Come Dancing.

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan (Season 9)

Kai and Sanam are proud doggy parents to cockerpoo Tinkerbell, who has her very own Instagram account. They announced their engagement in April 2024, but a wedding date has not yet been announced.

Will Young and Jessie Wynter (Season 9)

Wynter and Young told Closer that they were happily living together and that Young has developed a habit of proposing when he's had a few drinks. "Will has said I'll know when it's the real proposal," Wynter explained to the outlet.

Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki (Season 10)

The Sun reported that Adebayo posted a tell-all vlog about her relationship with Nowacki in April 2024. She explained that she didn't feel ready to move in together yet, but they were still going strong.

Love Island U.S.A.

The U.S. version of the show has run for five seasons, and so far the track record isn't bad -- we know of at least two couples that are still together. Season 5 must have been particularly romantic, because both of those couples appeared in the villa that year.

Hannah Wright and Marco Donatelli ( Season 5)

Hannah and Marco paired up early in season 5, but told Entertainment Weekly it took Hannah longer to realize Marco was the one for her. "As soon as she walked in through the hideaway. I have a type, which sounds cliche but not as cliche as people in there saying they don't have a type. I thought that was bulls---. I knew she was the one I was going for," said Marco. For Hannah, it was more of a slow burn. "I knew he was my person when I felt like he opened up to me about his past," she said in the same interview.

Taylor Smith and Carsten 'Bergie' Bergersen (Season 5)

Bergie and Taylor both shared sweet Instagram posts that paid tribute to their love story on Love Island on the one-year anniversary of the day they met. "As we continue our everyday facetime calls, monthly visits, Amazing date nights and the commitment of this long distance relationship we have is stronger than anyone could ever imagine," wrote Taylor.

Time will tell if couples from future seasons will beat the odds and stick together!
