Patrick Mahomes revealed the "biggest" change he's noticed at football games amid Travis Kelce's romance with Taylor Swift.
On Wednesday, the NFL took to TikTok to share a video of the "Cruel Summer" singer's influence on the Kansas City Chiefs' fanbase.
"We love to see the game growing 🫶 #kansascity #chiefs #nfl #swifties #nflkickoff," the caption read.
In the 45-second clip, Mahomes said: "I think the biggest thing that I noticed during the season was just that the kids that were becoming more and more fans, and you would see it through social media, you'd see it through games that we traveled to, it's just you would see more younger girls that were fans of the Chiefs and wanted to really embrace football, and I thought that was cool to see."
The quarterback continued: "Me, having a daughter, to see these young girls with their dads at football games and being able to enjoy that. It definitely expanded our fanbase. But I think it was all for the better, and I'm glad to be a part of it."
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, share daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III. In July, the couple announced they're expecting their third child together, another girl.
"The Swifties came in. It was like a whole new level of fandom," Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones added, referring to Swift's fans' nickname. "And the Swifties are real. It's a real thing."
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said: "I think it got a lot of young ladies interested and probably some older ones too, that maybe hadn't watched quite as religiously as maybe they were when she was there."
Newsweek reached out to Swift's representative via email for comment.
In the replies, both new and veteran fans flooded the post with enthusiasm.

"I am a whole adult Chiefs fan. FINALLY some of my girl friends watched WITH ME❤️🤣," @cindycarter1572 wrote.
"Been a Chiefs fan since I was a kid, enjoyed a lot of TS songs over the years. This past year tho? Everything has been so much fun. More friends watching the games, the Eras tour. What a blast," @caleeksu added.
"Never watched football in my entire life and now love it ! Watch it with my kids!" @123446ao shared.
"IN MY TAYVIS CHIEFS ERAA❤️❤️," @flormrivera chimed in, referring to Kelce and Swift's joint nickname.
Rumors first started swirling the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? host and Grammy Award winner were dating when the tight end attended her Missouri Eras Tour concert in July 2023. Later that year, Swift attended a handful of his Chiefs games, and the pair confirmed they were an item in October while holding hands at a Saturday Night Live after-party.
During an interview on the The Pat McAfee Show in January, Kelce said: "I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends. It's been nothing but a wonderful year, man."
