Angelina Jolie's son has walked on the red carpet for the first time since his serious road accident in July.

Pax Jolie-Pitt, 20, is the second-eldest of the actress' six children she shares with actor Brad Pitt.

Jolie-Pitt accompanied his famous mom to the Without Blood premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday, where the scars from his accident could be seen on his forehead.

He was injured when an electric bicycle he was riding had a collision with a car stopped at a red light on July 29.

Jolie-Pitt wore a black suit to the premiere, under which a black cast could be seen on his right arm. He wore sunglasses, with scars visible above them.

Newsweek contacted Jolie's representatives by email for comment.

He was taken to hospital following the accident after suffering "complex trauma" and admitted into the ICU, before being released into a general ward, according to Us Weekly, which reported Jolie-Pitt had a "long road of recovery and physical therapy" ahead of him.

A source told the outlet that the family was "deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders and the outstanding medical care he received."

Other news outlets, such as E! reported there was no criminal element to the accident.

Jolie's other children include Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, who are her biological children with Pitt, and adopted children Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

The famous actors married in 2014 after being together for 10 years, but filed for divorce two years later.

It's believed the children are estranged from their father and three have opted to drop Pitt from their names.

Shiloh requested to legally change her last name to just Jolie in July, with Us Weekly reporting it was a signal of loyalty to her mother during her volatile divorce from Pitt. During their acrimonious proceedings, Jolie accused Pitt of physical abuse, which he has denied.

Vivienne also opted to go by "Vivienne Jolie" in a playbill for her Broadway production of The Outsiders, and Zahara seemingly dropped her father's last name as well, identifying herself at college as "Zahara Marley Jolie."

"They've struggled to forgive and connect with Brad since the divorce," a source told the publication. "Their mom is the head of the household, and she's raised them with love and selflessness their whole lives. Once Brad left, it was very hard for them to see him go to war with her."
