Collin Gosselin, of Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame, is making some serious allegations against his mother, Kate Gosselin.

In an interview with the US Sun, Collin, 20 detailed the abuse he allegedly received at the hands of Kate, 49. He claimed that Kate would often lock him in a room to punish him.

"My mother had a room built in our unfinished section of the storage basement," Collin said. "She had a room put up with cameras in it, a tiny window in the corner and it was bolt-locked from the outside."

Collin called this area of the house the "containment room," and said that Kate would sometimes go as far as restricting his movements.

"When my mother would put me in that room multiple times, she had zip-tied my hands and feet together and bolt-locked the door, turned the lights off and had cameras there just watching me," Collin said.

Collin's dad, Jon, 47, was married to Kate from 1999 to 2009. In the same interview, Jon claimed he was unaware of Kate's allegedly abusive behavior until he was granted custody of Collin and daughter Hannah in 2018. He gained custody after Kate had Collin institutionalized for 22 months. Jon also claimed that the room to which Collin is referring is still in Kate's old house.

"My friends' in-laws bought our house and one time they asked me 'Why is there a room in the basement with a bed and a lock on the outside?'," Jon said.

At the time of writing, Kate has not directly commented on the allegations.
