Madonna made a rare appearance at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, September 10, and managed to turn heads in the process.
The 66-year-old attended the Luar runway show with quite a memorable misstep. The "Like A Virgin" singer donned a long brown trench coat dress complete with black gloves, oversized sunglasses, and high-heeled boots that proved challenging to navigate and ended tripping-up the Material Girl.
In a video shared on X, Madonna's entrance was marked by a stumble in her sky-high stilettos, but she quickly composed herself and grabbed onto one of her entourage while she regained her balance. She then took her seat next to fellow singer Ice Spice.
Madonna's 18-year-old son, David Banda, also made waves at NYFW, marking his debut as an Off-White model on their runway show on Sunday, September 8. He wore a plaid vest, flip-flops, and accessorized with silver earrings and finger gloves. The "Vogue" singer was seen supporting him at the Off-White afterparty, where she opted for a more casual look with jeans and a striped top.
In a 2019 interview with Vogue, Madonna revealed that David shares the most similarities with her compared to her other children. "David has an incredible focus and determination, which I believe he inherited from me," she said, reflecting on her son, who was 13 at the time. "He feels like the one I connect with the most. I think he has more of my DNA than any of my other kids," she told the outlet.
During a 2022 visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 7-time Grammy winner praised her teen's fashion sense, saying, "He has an incredible knack for looking stylish in anything he wears," she commented. "It's quite annoying because he even makes my clothes look better than I do. He can pull off a dress and still come across as effortlessly cool."
In addition to David, Madonna is also a mother to Lourdes Leon, 27, Rocco Ritchie, 24, Mercy James, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11.
