Matthew Lawrence was apparently not in sync with Justin Timberlake in the early 2000s.

On Monday, September 9, Lawrence, 44, went on the Pod Meets World podcast hosted by Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel, 43, Will Friedle, 48, and Rider Strong, 44, and shared that years after filming he learned that Timberlake, 43, felt mistreated by him on the Boy Meets World set.

"NSYNC kept coming over to the set. And I found out years later, when I bumped into Justin, that he thought I was not very nice. He didn't like me. And he flat out told me to my face," Lawrence stated.

Lawrence said he was a "huge fan" of Timberlake's and approached him after his solo record Justified debuted. He was shocked to learn the pop star had any ill will towards him. "I didn't have any recollection of this," the actor admitted. "And he was like, 'Oh, yeah, yeah. Now you wanna be friends with me? You were so mean on the set."'

Lawrence, who appeared as Jack Hunter in the hit series, explained that there might have been some tension between the pair because he was generally shy and would get jealous of other guys liking Fishel. "I was super shy. And also, I had, you know, kind of a crush on Danielle. And these guys kept rolling up on set, like trying to hit on her," Lawrence confessed.

Fishel, who played Topanga in the series, seemingly remembered this puppy love. "I was wondering if you were gonna say it. And [I] was like, I also know why he was probably a little standoffish," Fishel laughed.

The Mrs. Doubtfire actor wasn't the only cast member annoyed by the male visitors popping up on set back in the day. Strong, who played Shawn Hunter on the show, agreed it was frustrating for their teenage selves when Danielle would leave them behind.

"I remember us guys would always be like, these dudes, oh my God, they come around here. And Danielle, we would watch Danielle like completely ignore all of us," Strong recounted. "We would like lose our sister. We would just lose her. And we'd be like, oh God, she totally changes around them."

Unfortunately, Lawerence never got a chance to tell the "SexyBack" singer why he was not the warmest person on set. "Yeah. So I didn't get a chance to explain that to him, but that's what was going on," Lawrence told his fellow castmates.

Lawrence joined the Boy Meets World cast in its fifth season in 1997 as Shawn's half-brother and then Eric's college roommate, and remained a main cast member until the end of the series in 2000.
