Who knew mixing a cocktail could stir up so much attention? Stanley Tucci is still puzzling over how he seasoned his career with a dash of unexpected sex appeal during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

"I have no idea [how it happened]," the 63-year-old renowned actor turned culinary connoisseur confessed to Page Six in an interview published Saturday, September 14. "People must have been desperate, is all I can say."

It all started during a year when sourdough starters and TikTok dances reigned. Taking to Instagram on Monday, April 20 to share his cocktail-making prowess, Tucci posted a video of himself whipping up a negroni for his wife, Felicity Blunt (who is sister to actress Emily Blunt). Explaining that it's easy enough to do, the Devil Wears Prada star put together three ingredients: gin, sweet vermouth and Campari.

While Tucci was simply sharing his knack for crafting the perfect drink, he inadvertently stirred a surprising thirst among his followers. The video quickly transcended his usual audience, spilling over into viral territory as fans expressed their unexpected infatuation across social platforms.

"Not to be horny on main but Stanley Tucci doing a cocktail masterclass on IGTV is the most erotic thing in the world," one fan declared on X (formerly Twitter).

"The arms, the hands, the timbre and direction of his voice. Like that is how I want a man to talk to me in bed," swooned another.

"Please help me!! Why do you find this video so hot? I'm not saying it isn't, but just want to know. Please be as specific as possible. This is a real," chimed in a third.

This newfound acclaim whisked the Hollywood icon from his home kitchen to the forefront of cultural phenomena, leading to the Emmy-winning CNN documentary series, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, as well as an upcoming memoir, What I Ate in One Year: (and related thoughts).

Reflecting on his recent career shift, Tucci has no regrets. "That fact that I'm able to still go and do movies and all that stuff and television, it's a nice mix," he explained to the publication.
