Travis Kelce has yet another fan!

His Grotesquerie co-star, Nicholas Chavez, 25, stopped to gush about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, at the Los Angeles premiere of his series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story on Monday, September 16.

"He has such an exciting character in this show, and I think that people should be looking forward to seeing Travis shine because guy's a star," Chavez told People, adding, "He handled the material like a pro. He's awesome."

Chavez — who plays convicted murderer Lyle Menendez in Monster — said he "really enjoyed getting to know" the New Heights podcaster, and continued to heap praise on Kelce's personality in addition to his acting ability. "He's a friendly and cool guy," he gushed.

Though the details of Kelce's character in Grotesquerie still remain unclear, Chavez got to know the Super Bowl winner while playing Father Charlie Mayhew in the series. They're both joined in the project by Niecy Nash-Betts, who plays the lead, Detective Lois Tryon.

Courtney B. Vance, Raven Goodwin, Micaela Diamond, Tessa Ferrer, and Lesley Manville also star in the spooky crime series that follows a detective (Nash-Betts) and a nun (Diamond) as they investigate a series of heinous crimes that seem personal, while uncovering a sinister web that raises more questions than answers.

The premiere episode of Grotesquerie debuts on Wednesday, September 25.

Just weeks later, Kelce will also make his debut as the host of the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? spinoff series, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? The game show debuts on Amazon Prime on Wednesday, October 16.
