Doug Emhoff's daughter, Ella Emhoff, has clarified one detail in a video she uploaded to Instagram encouraging people to register to vote.

The 25-year-old model is also the daughter of film producer Kerstin Emhoff and is Vice President Kamala Harris' stepdaughter. Harris' family has reemerged in the spotlight since she declared she would run for president in the 2024 election.

As November draws nearer and Ella Emhoff finds herself in the headlines, she has decided to pause her Soft Hands Knitting Club, a knitting group open to the public, to ensure her and others' safety. However, that doesn't mean she's stopped knitting altogether.

On Monday she posted a video to Instagram of herself knitting an American flag and the words "I voted" on to a piece of material as the song "Freedom" by Beyonce played in the background. The mega superstar has thrown her weight behind Harris and her presidential campaign by granting Harris the rights to use her song as the campaign's rallying cry.

Newsweek contacted Ella Emhoff by emailing a spokesperson for the Harris campaign on Thursday outside of normal working hours.

"it's national voter registration day," Ella Emhoff wrote in the caption of her video.

"⭐️ check your status

"⭐️ register if you haven't

"⭐️ make sure your friends and family are registered

"⭐️ make sure you have a voting plan

"there is so much at risk for so many people. your vote matters."

In the video, Ella Emhoff can also be seen eating something from a cup, with the 25-year-old later taking to the comments to clarify what it was.

"The stuff in my cup is chia seed pudding with almonds and homemade blueberry jam. I promise it taste better than it looks," she wrote.

"That sounds yummy!" one person responded.

"Looks scrumptious to me! 💙 Great job Ella!" said another.

This isn't the first time that Ella Emhoff has made her own politics-related products. Earlier this month she showed off merch that she made especially for the debate between her stepmother and former President Donald Trump on September 10.

Ella Emhoff has been actively supporting Harris in the lead-up to the election, having previously attended the Democratic National Convention (DNC)—and her support didn't wane when Trump and Harris clashed face-to-face for the first time during the debate in Philadelphia.

Taking to her Instagram story, Ella Emhoff shared a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt with the words "DEBATE NIGHT 2024" emblazoned across the chest. "Made my own merch for tonight," she captioned the image.

Ella Emhoff has used fashion and crafts to contribute to her political involvement multiple times. During her appearances at the DNC in August, she took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos of the various outfits she wore during the weeklong event.

Harris is said to have a close relationship with her stepchildren, who call her "Momala." The vice president's blended family has staunchly supported her amid Republican attacks. After footage of Ohio Senator JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee, calling Harris and other members of the Democratic Party "childless cat ladies" resurfaced, her stepdaughter pushed back.

"How can you be 'childless' when you have cutie pie kids like Cole and I?" Ella Emhoff said in an Instagram story, referring to her brother. "I love my three parents."
