Lauren Graham made a surprise appearance at Kelly Bishop's book event in New York City.

The Gilmore Girls and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life stars reunited at 92NY on Tuesday, September 17, where Graham, 57, moderated a chat with Bishop, 80, about her new memoir The Third Gilmore Girl.

On Wednesday, Graham took to her Instagram account to share a video of Bishop introducing her to the audience.

"This was simply one of the best nights of my life," the Parenthood star shared. "Thank you all for showing us so much love! Kelly's book, The Third Gilmore Girl, is out now."

In the clip, originally posted to TikTok by her publisher Gallery Books, Bishop said, "Only one thing, for me, that would make it more special—if there was another Gilmore girl."

The crowd erupted into cheers as Graham walked out onto the stage.

Graham's post quickly went viral online, racking up more than 742,000 views at the time of publication and over 82,000 likes. Meanwhile, Gallery Books' post had more than 23,500 views and over 1,870 likes.

In the replies of both posts, fans of the show—which ran from 2000 to 2007—shared their excitement.

"i would've lost my S***," actress Beanie Feldstein wrote in a message with over 1,830 likes on Instagram.

"I would have given myself strep throat from screaming," film producer Jaime Primak Sullivan said.

"The audience gave the proper response," Instagram user @amontesss_ added in a comment with over 690 likes.

"I was there last night and I just got the chills all over again watching this," @robecs shared on TikTok, which prompted a response from Gallery Books. "We hope you had a great time!" wrote the publisher.

"I'd be throwing up and crying," @kittykakes0 chimed in, to which Gallery Books replied, "same tbh."

"I too would have been screaming!!," TikToker @scsreads posted.

A separate TikTok video posted by someone in the audience captured Graham tearing up at the event with Bishop.

"I have some Kleenex in my bra," she joked, before adding, "I'm so thrilled to be here. I feel so happy and proud. This book is just incredible, you are just incredible. Any excuse to see you, but to be here together is just something I would never miss."

"Every day, I'm so lucky I get to be your pretend daughter," Graham added in another clip posted to the platform.

In a statement to Newsweek, Bishop's manager said, "Lauren and Kelly do see each other whenever their schedules allow. Kelly adores Lauren."

Regarding Tuesday's event, he said, "Kelly asked Lauren and she very graciously accepted, flying in especially to be at the event. Unfortunately, Lauren will not be at any other book events. Kelly is so appreciative of the amazing response she is receiving for her book and at all the events."

Newsweek contacted Graham's representative via email for additional comment.

Graham and Bishop played a mother-daughter duo on the hit CW series, with Graham playing the role of Lorelai Gilmore and Bishop playing matriarch Emily Gilmore. While they often didn't see eye to eye on the show, they're good friends in real life.

"She and I stay in pretty good contact with one another anyway," Bishop previously said in an interview with E! News. "We're really very close."
