Matthew McConaughey posted a painful looking photo on social media following an unfortunate encounter with a bee.
The actor, 54, seemed to be in good spirits despite the recent mishap that left his right eye swollen shut. McConaughey shared a close-up selfie of his eye on Instagram on July 10, hinting at a run-in with a bee along the hilariously punny caption, "bee swell." Despite the noticeable injury, he maintained a smile for the camera, showing his usual positive demeanor.
Fans were alarmed by the photo, flocking to the comments to send their well wishes to the How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days actor. "Of course you made light of a dark moment. No, but seriously, we hope you're okay," said one concerned fan. "Ouch ! Get some ice on it!" suggested another.

You're not gonna really have us as a safety net out there in the wonderful, wild world forever," the Dallas Buyers Club actor said in the video.
