Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are not the kind of couple to shy away from public displays of affection.
Lively, 36, made that very clear when she jokingly took to her Instagram Story on Thursday, July 11 to share a screenshot of Reynolds, 47. "SOS. He's trying to get me pregnant again," she wrote, alongside a photo of Reynolds holding "Dogpool" also known as Peggy or Mary Puppins, a dog who won Britain's Ugliest Dog in 2023.
"Put the dog that you find adorable in spite of societal K9 expectations away and take off the damn teal suit! Rude," Lively added. The video Lively was referring to featured Reynolds lovingly holding Peggy as he sang her praises at a Deadpool & Wolverine event.
"Guys, this is Peggy... Get a good look... she won Ugliest Dog in Britain, but we're not telling her that, because she is a 10 in our hearts, isn't she?" Ryan gushed, planting a little kiss on the dog's head.
"She is really truly amazing," he continued, of his four-legged co-star. "This dog went through more training than Hugh Jackman did in the gym every single morning, and we love her very, very much. Yes, we do. Yes, she's a big star." On his Instagram, Reynolds warned, "Avoid petting her too vigorously. You'll see why in a couple weeks."
Reynolds and Jackman have been sharing a host of promotional - and mocking - images on social media as they travel the world promoting Deadpool & Wolverine, which hits theaters on July 26. This is not the first time one of those posts made Lively feel some type of way.
On July 2, Jackman shared a picture of Reynolds in fitted jeans and a white tank top, with the caption, "You want me to put this away?" — Ryan Reynolds, co-star, mouth breather, a**hole." Of course, Reynolds left a silly comment, joking, "This photo is from my private collection. How dare you?"
However, it was his wife's comment that got fans' attention. "My thirst has been trapped," the mother-of-four wrote. Reynolds and the It Ends with Us actress first met in 2010 on the set of their film, Green Lantern.
They began dating the following year, and tied the knot in September 2012. The couple share daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and a fourth child welcomed in 2023.
