There may have been an old lady who swallowed a fly, but Taylor Swift is the pop superstar who keeps swallowing bugs.

The 14-time Grammy winner — who has been touring the world on her history-making Eras Tour since March 2023 — was in the middle of performing her latest show in Milan when she told the audience she accidentally choked on an insect.

Coughing, Swift, 34, announced to the sold-out crowd at San Siro Stadium that she "swallowed another bug."

Based on fan footage from the moment, the audience began laughing before cheering for the "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" artist.

"I knew it would happen 'cause there are so many bugs here tonight," explained Swift, who was in the middle of performing a mashup of "I Almost Do" and "The Moment I Knew" when the mishap occurred. "I just need to cough a little bit."

Swift's accidental insect inhalation during Milan night one marked her third time doing so on the Eras Tour, which has seen the "Love Story" artist perform over 100 shows in open-air stadiums across the globe.

She first choked on a bug at one of her shows in Chicago in June 2023. Swift was standing on stage, mic in hand, when she began having a coughing fit and appeared as if she was about to get sick.

"I swallowed a bug. I'm so sorry," she told the crowd at Soldier Field. After regaining her composure and joking that it was "delicious," Swift quipped: "Is there any chance none of you saw that?"

Unfortunately for Swift, the creepy crawlies were not on her side in London, either.

While performing the 10-minute version of the fan-favorite Red track "All Too Well" during her third night at Wembley Stadium last month, Swift was about to launch into the pre-chorus of the song when she once again had to tell the crowd she was choking on an insect.

This time, she had the audience carry on.

"I swallowed a bug, can you sing?" she asked, as the fans took over for her.
