Guns N' Roses legend Slash is mourning the loss of his stepdaughter as social media reacts to her final Instagram post.

Lucy-Bleu Knight died on July 19 at age 25.

She was the daughter of Slash's longtime partner Meegan Hodges, and her ex, Mark Knight. The GNR guitarist, 58, and Hodes dated in 1989 and got back together in 2015.

"Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024," a statement posted by Slash on Instagram.

"Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul. The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss," the statement concludes.

Earlier Sunday, Slash announced he must cancel four shows on his "S.E.R.P.E.N.T" tour due to "unforeseen circumstances."

"We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused," he wrote on Instagram. The tour is set to resume on July 28 in Toronto.

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office said Lucy-Bleu Knight's autopsy has been scheduled, the New York Post reports.

Lucy-Bleu Knight's Final Message

Three hours after Slash posted his statement to Instagram, a seemingly scheduled photo of Knight was published to her Instagram account with a chilling message.

"Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry," the photo is captioned.

It continued, "Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace."

The message is accompanied by a selfie of Knight wearing large rounded glasses and a short bleached bob, not looking at the camera.

Fellow social media users wondered how the post could be made following the news of Knight's death, but several people wondered if it "was a scheduled post," meaning Knight could have written the caption and set the post to be uploaded at a later time.

"Please don't make speculations just respect her and her family," one user wrote, while another claimed, "it matters because it explains many things, and ultimately, they are her last words. They matter."

Her second most recent post – a "painting I made" of a person wearing green cowboy boots – was posted on January 4.
