Even superstar toddlers have their quirks. Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and co-owner of Kansas City Current, recently opened up about a little challenge they've encountered with their son, Bronze — especially during meal times. In the midst of European travels, a quick fix for keeping the peace at the dinner table turned into what the 28-year-old former soccer star dubs a "bad habit."

During a family getaway, Bronze, at 18 months old, found a new dining companion: television. To avoid public tantrums from their not-so-eager eater, the couple allowed their toddler to watch TV during meals. The tactic was effective — Bronze was quiet and ate without fuss. But upon returning home, the temporary solution seemed to stick a little too well.

"We started a bad habit with Bronze while on vacation," the mom-of-two wrote on Sunday, July 28 via her Instagram Stories. "We started letting him watch TV when eating literally just to keep him chill and not throw fits in public [because] he is still not the best eater and will fight it and throw huge huge huge fits when trying to make him eat."

Brittany went on to say, "Well, now [we] have been trying to break this now that we are home but he legit will not eat a single thing unless he gets a show and then if he does, will eat anything. So I need secrets on how to break this and get him to eat!" Concluding her post, she asked her audience for tips and opened up a question-and-answer box to receive advice.

Fans and fellow moms didn't hesitate to chime in. Grateful for the community support, the athlete responded, "I see a lot of moms going through the same thing, much love. A ton asked me to share so going to share on the next slide->"

Here are some of the tips that came pouring in:

"Let him be, Pick your battles. If it brings you peace, don't fight it. You're a great mama!" one user recommended.

"As a therapist, the best thing you can do is be 100% consistent, don't give in. Not once," another advised.

"Cold Turkey girl- it's going to suck for a week but he will eat! He won't starve himself," suggested a third.

As Brittany navigates toddler challenges with her community's support, the Mahomes family is also preparing to welcome their third child. The soon-to-be-father-of-three shared their excitement at a Chiefs press conference Tuesday, July 16, confirming that three kids will complete their family.
