Pax Jolie-Pitt had to be rushed to the hospital following a traffic accident in Los Angeles on Monday, July 29.

The 20-year-old son of Angelina Jolie, 49, and Brad Pitt, 60, was driving an electric bicycle when he crashed into a car that had stopped at a red light, as reported by TMZ. The accident took place during rush hour at Hobart and Los Feliz Boulevard around 5pm, per the LAPD.

Pax was not wearing a helmet at the time, and was taken to the hospital to treat a head injury as well as hip pain. It was feared Pax had suffered a minor brain bleed because of the crash, but TMZ later reported that he was in stable condition and expected to return home imminently.

ET reported that there is no criminal element — like DUI or hit and run — to the accident, and that the Eternals star is with her son.

Brad and Angelina — who fell in love on the set of 2005's Mr. & Mrs. Smith, married in 2014, and divorced in 2016 — share biological children Shiloh, 18, Vivienne and Knox, 15, and adopted children Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19.

The news comes amid Shiloh requesting to legally change her last name to just Jolie, rather than Jolie-Pitt. As far as why, Us Weekly reported it has to do with loyalty to her mother during her parents' contentious divorce.

"They've struggled to forgive and connect with Brad since the divorce. Their mom is the head of the household, and she's raised them with love and selflessness their whole lives. Once Brad left, it was very hard for them to see him go to war with her," a source told the publication.

Shiloh filed the paperwork in California on May 27, 2024, and the request is expected to be granted in the near future. According to a source for People, the Wolfs actor is "aware and upset" about Shiloh dropping his last name.

"He's never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter," the source told the publication, adding, "The reminders that he's lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It's very sad."
