It was a grand family affair at Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco's house earlier this week, as they celebrated their daughter, Honey's, first birthday. Much of their extended family was in attendance for the fairy-themed festivities, including Caitlyn Jenner and Linda Thompson, Honey's grandparents.
Caitlyn and Thompson, both 74, were married from 1981 to 1986, and share Brody and Brandon as sons. Despite having divorced, Thompson has only spoken fondly of Caitlyn. In a 2016 interview with ABC News, she expressed compassion for Caitlyn and recalled a moment when she had came out as transgender. "My deeper compassion was for [Caitlyn]...for her to have felt so trapped in the wrong body," said Thompson. "It broke my heart to think [she] had struggled so long and so hard."
To this day, the Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete and the songwriter remain on good terms. The two appeared to be in good spirits — as indicated in a carousel of photos shared by Thompson.
In a series of photos, Thompson and Caitlyn are seen smiling together, dressed in vibrant colors, and enjoying time with their children and grandchildren. "We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and extended family, in-laws, and no outlaws," said Thompson in the post's caption.
Elsewhere in the carousel, Honey enjoys her cake, and playfully smashes it around. The family members also pose for a group photo, cementing the memories of a pleasant first birthday and an afternoon well-spent.
